According to coach Ten Hag, Rashford holding a birthday party after Man Utd’s loss to Man City is “unacceptable behavior”.
Rashford upset Ten Hag
On October 31, Rashford turned 26. This is probably one of the saddest birthdays for the English player because 2 days earlier, MU lost to Man City with a score of 0-3 in round 10. Premier League 2023-24 right at Old Trafford (October 29).
Even though MU just lost miserably to their city rival, Rashford still held a lavish birthday party at the Chinawhite bar in Manchester. This event was scheduled by Rashford before the Manchester derby. Attending the 26-year-old striker’s birthday were many friends and some teammates, typically defender Tyrell Malacia.
According to British media at the time, coach Ten Hag was unhappy because Rashford held a party after losing to Man City. Just like what the Mist press reported, the Dutch military leader admitted that in the press conference before MU’s away match against Fulham. The match in round 11 of the Premier League takes place at 7:30 p.m. tonight (November 4).
Specifically, when asked about Rashford partying after the loss to Man City, Mr. Ten Hag said: “Yes, I know this incident. And I talked to him about it.
That is unacceptable behavior. I told Rashford that and he apologized. Just like that. That is our internal matter.”
Also related to Rashford, in yesterday’s press conference, coach Ten Hag refused to reveal whether he would punish the 26-year-old striker for the above “unacceptable behavior”.
After the controversial party incident, Rashford was not allowed to start in MU’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle in the 1/8 round of the Carabao Cup. The English international came on as a substitute in the second half of the match 2 days ago, when the score was 0-3 in favor of the Magpies. As a substitute, Rashford could not help the Red Devils turn the situation around.
Like MU strikers, Rashford has had an alarming decline in form this season. The English striker has only scored 1 goal in all competitions. It is important to know that last season Rashford scored 30 goals and was the Red Devils’ number 1 striker.
